The U-19 men’s national soccer team, under new head coach Lee Chang-won, drew with Uzbekistan in its first match of a friendly in China.

The U-19s drew 1-1 with Uzbekistan in the first match of the four-nation friendly in Weinan, China, on Thursday.

South Korea will next face Vietnam on Sept. 7 and China on Sept. 10.

After conceding a goal to Uzbekistan in the 24th minute, 먹튀검증 South Korea equalized on a penalty kick by Jin Jun-seo (Incheon National University) five minutes into the second half.

The U-19 team will now prepare for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-20 Asian Cup and the FIFA U-20 World Cup next year.

The U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers are scheduled for September.

Lee Chang-won, who was named head coach of the U-19s on March 20, played for the Jeonnam Dragons and Pohang Steelers before turning to coaching and gaining attention as a high school coach at Pohang Steel High School, where he specialized in developing young talent.
