Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC (hereinafter referred to as Jeonbuk) has agreed to extend the contract with ‘One Club Man’ Choi Cheol-soon (36) until 2025.

Jeonbuk officially announced a contract extension with Choi Cheol-soon on the 5th.

Choi Cheol-soon, who debuted in Jeonbuk in 2006, rewrote Jeonbuk’s history by extending the time he spent with fans to 20 years (2006-2025, including his time as managing director) through this contract renewal. 지울프-토토

Choi Cheol-soon is considered a living legend who opened Jeonbuk’s K-League dynasty. The reason why Choi Cheol-soon is recognized as a ‘legendary’ player of the team beyond a ‘one-club man’ is because of the fighting spirit he showed on the ground and the historical footsteps he achieved in Jeonbuk.

Cheol-soon Choi is the only player in Jeonbuk’s history of winning all K-League titles (9 times) and ACL wins (2 times). He also holds the record for the most wins in K League history.

In addition to his championship experience, Choi Cheol-soon, who played in 398 K-League games for Jeonbuk, is breaking the Jeonbuk team’s record for the most appearances every year, surpassing Lee Dong-guk (361 games – 2nd place in Jeonbuk’s total).

Jeonbuk Club explained the reason for the extension contract, saying, “In addition to thorough self-management and ability as a player, we placed high value on his dignity as a veteran who takes the lead.”

Choi Cheol-soon said, “I have not forgotten the mindset I had on the first day I wore the green uniform and played in the game,” and added, “I will work harder to ensure that the 20 years have not been in vain. “I am grateful to the fans who always supported me and the club that recognized my value,” he said.
