LG won 95-82 in an away game against Seoul Samsung in the second round of the 2023-2024 professional basketball season held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium on the 5th.

With this victory, LG raced to three consecutive wins. On the other hand, Samsung fell into a swamp of 5 consecutive losses.

Samsung’s Lee Jeong-hyeon lost, but became the protagonist of a meaningful record.

LG led 43-35 until the first half. The atmosphere was raised from the first quarter. Yang Hong-seok was in full swing with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Fast break scores were often scored by running quickly after defense.

Samsung’s pursuit continued in the second quarter. Avan Nava and Kofi Coburn combined for 14 points to give chase. 

However, LG maintained its lead with several players, including Yoo Yoo-sang and Lee Kwan-hee, taking turns scoring.

The third quarter was a tense affair. When LG widened the gap, Samsung followed suit. 

LG fought hard, with Lee Kwan-hee and Lee Jae-do scoring 6 points each. Samsung exploded on the outskirts. 

They chased with as many as four 3-point shots.

LG led the way from the beginning of the fourth quarter. 

They defeated Samsung’s pursuit with a 20-8 scoring run in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter. 

Samsung tried to turn the situation around with a hot 3-point shot, but the gap was too big. There wasn’t enough time left.

LG won the game through a high-tempo attack by Lee Jae-do and Yang Hong-seok. 

Yang Hong-seok exploded with 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists, and Lee Jae-do played a key role in the victory by contributing 21 points, 3 assists, and 3P 3/3.
