K League 2 Round 37 MVP is Jeonnam Valdivia
After leading FC Seoul to an upset victory in the K League 1, Willian was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of Round 35.
The Korean Professional Football Association (KPFA) explained the reasoning behind selecting Willian as the MVP, saying, “He played a key role in energizing the attacking line against Suwon FC at Suwon Sports Complex on the 29th, scoring in the 14th minute of the second half to lead Seoul to a 4-3 victory.”
Seoul conceded an early goal to Suwon FC, but battled back with an equalizer from Ki Sung-yong and another from Willian. With the score tied at 3-3, Kim Kyung-min scored in stoppage time to win 4-3.
The match between the two teams was named the Best Match of the 35th round of the K League One, and Seoul became the Best Team of the 35th round.
Gabriel (Gangwon), Thiago (Daejeon), Willian, Ki Sung-yong (Seoul), Kim Min-hyuk (Ulsan), Kim Min-seok, Choi Woo-jin, Lim Hyung-jin (Incheon), Kim Ki-hee, Seol Young-woo, and Cho Hyun-woo (Ulsan) were named to the Best 11 of Round 35.
Meanwhile, Valdivia was named the MVP of the 37th round of the second-tier K League 2 after his two assists against Chungbuk Cheongju FC led Jeonnam Dragons to a 3-0 victory. 스포츠토토맨
