Cho Kyu-sung was named the Danish Super League ‘Player of the Month’ for September, marking his second consecutive season award.
South Korean national soccer striker Cho Kyu-sung (Meatwillan) has been named the September Player of the Month by Danish professional soccer’s Superliga.
On Sept. 26 (local time), the Superliga secretariat released the top 11 players of the month on social media.
Cho Kyu-sung earned a spot as one of the top two strikers in the 4-4-2 formation.
This is the second time this season that Cho has been named Player of the Month, having previously been honored in July.
September was a hot month for Cho.
After a brief setback in August due to injury, he bounced back with two goals and two assists in three games this month. Mittwillan went undefeated in September with one win and two draws in three games.
Cho Kyu-sung was also named to the 2023-2024 Superliga Round 9 Best 11.
He scored a goal and added an assist in the team’s 2-1 win over Odense on Sept. 25.
