Go for 5 individual gold medals
The Korean recurve archery team has won three team gold medals at the fourth edition of the Hyundai Archery
World Cup 2023 in Paris.
The women’s team of An An (Gwangju Women’s University), 일본야동 Kang Chae-young (Hyundai Mobis),
and Lim Im-hyun (Korea Gymnastics University) defeated Chinese Taipei 6-2 (55-56 58-57 57-51 58-54) in
the women’s team final on Tuesday at Parc des Anglais in Paris, France.
In the men’s team final, Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City Hall), Lee Woo-seok (Kolon) and Kim Jeduk
(Yecheon County Hall) defeated Chinese Taipei 6-0 (59-53 59-53 57-56) to win gold.
In the mixed team event, Lim and Lee defeated Chinese Taipei 5-3 (39-39 39-36 38-39 39-36) in the final.
The duo won their second gold medal of the tournament.
After sweeping the three gold medals in the team competition, 한국야동 Korea will continue its gold hunt
in the men’s and women’s individual events.
Choi Mi-sun (Gwangju Bank) reached the semifinals of the women’s individual event, while Kim Woo-jin
and Lee Woo-seok reached the semifinals of the men’s individual event.
The Recurve team will be looking to bounce back from a poor showing at the last World Archery
Championships in Berlin 2023.
South Korea 한국야동 won just two gold medals in the men’s team and mixed events.
