Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) player Lee Kang-in, 23, has returned from vacation and joined the team’s training to prepare for the new season.

PSG announced the news of Lee’s return through its website on Sept. 23 (KST).

The club said, “Lee Kang-in returned to the team for training on the 22nd. “Lee returned to France after a well-deserved vacation after helping the South Korean national football team qualify for the third Asian qualifying round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup North America,” the club said.

“Lee underwent the team’s traditional pre-season medical tests,” he continued, ”and in the afternoon he went to the training center to train in the gym. He will soon start training with the players and the team.”

After completing the second round of qualifiers for the North and Central American World Cup, Lee has been vacationing and training privately in Mallorca, Spain, before returning to PSG ahead of the start of the 2024-2025 season.

Lee’s delayed return to the PSG training ground sparked transfer speculation.

French media reported that an English Premier League (EPL) club tried to sign Lee for a transfer fee of €70 million, but PSG rejected the offer.

Newcastle United was reportedly the other club that wanted Lee.

Jeon began his preparations.

In a medical test released by PSG on the same day, Lee ran on a treadmill while wearing a ‘fishnet T-shirt’ with sensors attached to his body.

When asked, “Are you ready for the season?” Lee said, “I’m ready for the new season, but not for this,” and laughed as if he was embarrassed by his fishnet T-shirt.

PSG will open the 2024-2025 French Ligue 1 season on Aug. 18 against Le Havre away from home. 파워볼실시간
