Former world No. 1 women’s golfer Park Sung-hyun is set to return to the field after shaking off a wrist injury.
Park is currently working out to improve her game and will compete in the Jeju Samdasu Masters on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, which begins on Aug. 1, Cema Sports Marketing said on Aug. 23.
Park earned 10 wins on the KLPGA Tour before joining the Ladies Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour in 2017.
After winning the U.S. Women’s Open in her rookie year, Park became the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world and was the top-ranked player on the LPGA Tour with seven wins.
However, a wrist ligament injury slowed her performance and she hasn’t competed since the KLPGA Tour’s SK Shielders-SK Telecom Championship in November last year.
“I have undergone treatment for my wrist ligaments and completed the rehabilitation process,” Park said through Cema Sports Marketing, adding, ”I have had time to reorganize my body and mind, so I will play up to expectations at the Jeju Samdasu Masters, my first appearance this year.”
The Jeju Samdasu Masters is a comeback tournament that Park won in 2016.
“I remember winning this tournament and receiving the season’s most wins and lowest scoring award. It’s been a long time since I’ve participated in a tournament in Jeju, and I have good memories of the tournament, so I’m determined to achieve good results.”
The Jeju Samdasu Masters will be held at the Blackstone Jeju Country Club in Jeju City for four days from August 1. 온라인카지노사이트
